Took the course this past weekend and it was awesome! Highly recommend it to anyone who has ever looked longingly at the fresh uncut powder on the other side of the ropes. The course doesn’t teach you how to ski avalanche terrain- but it does teach you how to recognize it, avoid it, and stay alive. Big thanks to Matt and Darrell.

Thank you for your question. The answer is… a snowboarder works best when using a splitboard… we rent them… 2nd best option is a pair of MSR Evo Ascent snowshoes with a 6″ tail… we rent them as well… give us a shout at the shop 250-979-4327

Just wondering about the field day part of course…..is a snowboarder with snowshoes ok….or is it a ski touring course only? And where would the field part of the course take place? Thank you for your time.

Rick, I understand your concern, however the event begins at 10AM… we need to have EVERYONE processed before that time.

You may want to allow people to pickup their event package until just before 1000, since most people don’t get up to the ski area until just before 1000.
